      mummyjoyce:
Just a precaution - lesson learnt from last year. My DD was admitted to a Secondary school via DSA but actual result is very good. Very stressful to appeal and wait. The feeling is really scary and wont want to go thru it again.

So think carefully before you DSA your child.
      Good luck....
Agree. My daughter's psle result was better than the cut-off of the dsa school she was admitted to. In any case, we did not appeal . She is doing fine in her present school and enjoying school life - not missing out on anything...

So must think carefully and be sure of the choice.

        um.

How do girls get into ACS (I) in year 5 and 6?
And how much are they required to get to go in?
Do they have a String Orchestra?
My daughter is grade 7 in violin now and she is going to take her grade 8 next year.
She is only sec 1 now.
She also plays piano and is grade 2 and she is going for the grade 3 exam in july.
Her cca in primary school was guitar and she went for the SYF competion and got gold.
        She is currently taking MEP.
Do you think she can DSA?
        and if she DSAs ,
is there still a maximum requirement of marks to get in or it is once accepted, then confirmed get in?
        answers are much sppreciated πŸ™‚

They do well enough for their O' Levels and they can get in.

Admission of girls into the IB prog in Year5 of course will result in a sch environment that has more boys than girls.

Yes, the boys outnumber girls in yr 5 and 6. But the girls have a priviledge of being 'special' few i guess πŸ˜‰
