I think so. The gate is at Prince Philip Ave. Next to a building. You can look at the orientation slides.

The main front gate is for sch buses and teachers only.

          Hi Hi

In the morning, parents who are driving may enter the school via Gate 2 (the one at Delta House). At one go, a max of 4 cars may stop at the designated drop-off points. Children are taught to get ready to alight prior reaching the gate. There will be teachers on duty daily.

As for pick-up, due to the dead end at road leading to gate 2, we will all drive in, make a 3 pt turn and park along either side of the roads with car facing the main road. Till date, parents are very co-operative & have maintain good driving habits allowing each car to make the turn and move out before the next car gets its turn. Usu the first car will be parking nearer to the gate, the rest just parked ahead of one another.

Moving out after picking the children is smooth & easy so far. We make sure the road is cleared and no children on road before going off (some children go back by foot from gate 2 too)

If it rains during pick-up, we will still to get down and fetch the children. Unless it is pouring very heavily, the school might open the gate only after children going back by foot left. So far we have not experienced that yet.

Guard will only open gate when the children are out. Classrooms are nearer to Gate 1. Parents can enter to car porch to pick them up. The teachers will only dismiss children when the parents are here.

The children are encouraged to come and go from safe gate daily.

          Hope the information helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

Gate 2 is behind Delta House. The one along main road at front of Delta House is their car park exit. ๐Ÿ™‚

              Moustacher:
Hi, for those driving their kids to school, can you tell me hows it like? Security told me can drive through gate 2, drop off and go.

However, when pick up time, parents will have to park their cars and fetch their kids. Is finding a place to park difficult? As im a new driver, i lack confidence in sending/fetching my kid home actually, even though going to sch part seems less of a hassel (no need to park car). I will need to do a u turn shortly after gate 2 and go back towards tiong bahru direction. Is the traffic very heavy during those two timings? :gloomy:
              Hi!
Parking is not difficult there. We will park ahead of each other's car. Go straight n reverse. Going out to make u turn is not difficult too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your replies. They are really helpful and eased my anxieties.

I drove to school gate two, made a 3 pt turn and u turn back to my home this morning. Seems okay as theres minmal traffic (i still feel anxious in heavy traffic, changing lanes and parkingโ€ฆ Bobian, new driver)โ€ฆ My drive to school fr home takes only 5 mins and another 5 mins back home.

This year as we have only one level, the number of cars around aren't as much - less than 20 cars

Pick-up time is at 1:30pm. Pedestrian gate will be opened when 1st group of children arrived at pick-up point.

By 1:40pm, most cars would have left. No stress so far. ๐Ÿ˜„

Gate 2 will not be opened during pick-up at 1:30pm. You can pop by anytime if you like. ๐Ÿ˜„

It is not a CCA. It is one of the activites of PAL prog. There is swimming, hip hop dance and art painting and classes will be rotated for each activity each term. It is on every wed and classes are dismissed at 3.30pm.

Can't really remember if swimming is compulsory but I think it is not cos there was a consent form to be signed.
