KopiYing, once you are able to do so, do register your baby as a national library member. Applicants under the age of 7 get free membership.

With this membership, approach the service counter at any community or regional branch to request for a free Pre-Birth Kit for your baby within one year of her birth. I happened to see it on display when I visited the Jurong Regional Library yesterday and redeemed mine on the spot. It comes with a height chart, hardcover journal, CD among other things.

P.S. Thanks for the tip on Huggies. ๐Ÿ™‚

So cute my DS is over 1 yr now ๐Ÿ˜ž

I hope I saw correctly that it is within 1 year of birth. LKVM, maybe you can verify with the staff? I tried searching online at the NLB website but couldn't find any info on the kit.

8 years ago when I registered my DD1 at NLB, they gave me a kit but it was a simpler and smaller one, filled with booklets on reading tips and recommended books.

By the way, does anyone here know if the Pampers Baby Club is still around? I joined it when my DD1 was born 8 years ago but I can't find it online anymore. TIA. ๐Ÿ™‚

When u register ur daughter, I think u must tell the staff tt u wanna redeem the kit, otherwise they may forget to ask u if u want it or they think they u have already redeemed it.

Forgot to post this for some time alr. Sorry.

When you buy Huggies Ultra diapers, each pack comes with a free storybook. I saw 3 titles, The Little Red Hen, The 3 Billy Goats Gruff and The 3 Little Pigs. I think there is 1 more free title but I didn't see what it was.

Next freebie: Register at http://www.diapers.com.sg and you can get a free sample of Goo.n diapers. This is a very good Jap brand. They post the sample to you very promptly (which is not something I can say about Huggies -_-).

sashimi and I found Goo.n diapers on sale at Cold Storage Great World City. Price comparable to Pampers when on offer ($19.90) so we grabbed 2 packs to use at night only for my baby. The usual price is more than $20.
