There is no banding in P1. Everyone comes in as equal.

I think Scary is asking if m240's child is in class 9, which is in-charge by a particular teacher...

My child is indeed in class 9. 😞

Any suggestions how make things work with this teacher?[/quote]You can try emailing the teacher for a start to voice your concern.
If she does not reply after a few days, you can try to meet up with her in school after dismissal.

        Hi Mommies,

Can someone let me know for the subscription of The Young Scientist, is it that we have to direct order from the supplier and not through the school?

        Hope for some quick clarification.
        Thanks a lot!!

Yes.. u need to direct order from supplier and they will mail over. I ordered mine few months ago. 😉

:rahrah: Hi 2015 P1 parents!! Welcome to PHPPS!! :rahrah:

          :welcome:

Sorry :imsorry: , many of us had been missing for long long time... most of the talkative ones not active here anymore as their kids left PH already... so the remaining talkative one(s) has(have) no one to talk to here.... 🤷 mine still in P3/4 so I'll still be around for a while..... 🕺

For those who are interested to help out in the school, usually the kids will come back with a form asking for parent helper if the school needs.... for routine help, like recess prayer 🙏 /library helper /etc, I think need to approach the person-in-charge directly to offer help. The GO will just tell you \"No, we do not take parent volunteer.\" 🤷 ....

            Hihi,

            Welcome to the PH Family!

I’m not an active contributor but will read all posts regarding PH. My eldest graduated from PH 4 years ago and the youngest in P4.

            Once again, welcome!

I haven't heard any news on relocation, still waiting. Is it confirmed PH will go single session in 2016 (with the new extension)? Don't think there is time if it is the case since Term 3 2014 is ending soon..

Thanks for the welcome! But I'm an \"old\" parent of a P3er already, keke. 😂 As my #2 will be going to P1 next yr & I don't expect any GEP offer, so I'll be here for a while.. the next 6 years that is.

Read about this year's mid-autumn festival programme & it looks quite interesting. But too bad we can't make it. Anyone going? Can share the highlights here after the event?

Most likely to the current holding school of NYPS, after they move out (heard from reliable sources).

Hi parents whose kids alr in PHPP,

Juz need more reliable sources to clarify if the rumour is true, as I plan to register my child here next yr. Someone’s friend friend who koes a sch gardener who worked in PHPP previously told that someone’s friend that the discipline in PHPP is bad, and there are ‘gangsters’ in the upper pri. Why would a sch gardener who worked in PHPP for a number of yrs commented this? It is quite worrying. But I still believe that PHPP is a gd sch, their PSLE results is the evidence.

Juz like to have another side of the story regarding this rumour, current parents whose kids attend PHPP, how true is the discipline part and what’s your opinion?

                      thank you.

I am sure all schools have some bullies in them. But I won't call them gangsters. Like all bullies, they are just people who feel insecure and need attention.
I don't think there is any cause for concern. If there is any incident, just report to the teacher or the discipline master. So far, I am satisfied with the discipline side of things. In fact, I find that the pupils at PHPPS are generally well-behaved.
I suggest you go there during the open house to see for yourself instead of relying on hearsay. Cheers.
