My son is also in cma for about a year. I think the speed problem could be due to unable to decide which formula to use. Eg. +2 there r 2 formula, so beginning maybe be slower until they are really familiar with the application of the formulas. Should be ok after more practice.

Any idea starting from beginner’s level, normally how long it takes for a child to learn multiplication?
