waiting for the result is really ..... :nailbite: :frustrated:

We are enjoying this period. Breezing through the ad hoc & day to day activities. No need to rush, no tight schedules to meet! Kids brainstorming and preparing for graduation party & enjoying themselves.

                  Hi Parents

Would like to check with you. Did you usually get feedback from your kids' teachers on their attentiveness and learning attitude in school?

If your kids are very well prepared before the next level begin, for instance if they are in P5 and already prepared for P6 and so on. Do your kids feel excited during the school term starts and will listen attentively in class and excited over what teachers have taught them or they will actually switch off a bit as they already know the topics quite well?

Sorry, I know it is abit random. Last night, hubby and I were talking about all these. Also, the culture shock stuff that we didn't face during our school time. My nieces and nephews also didn't face such issue. So, we are wondering why the kids now will face all these issues. My nieces and nephews are around 14 to 22 years old age group. My kids are the youngest among the cousins, so I am a bit lost touch now. Gather feedback from you all is a better choice as our kids age group are either same or close. Thanks πŸ™‚

Oh ya, to add on, as I don't usually prepare my kids way before hand, the most is like maybe 2 weeks before the school term starts, I will just briefly go through the first two chaps with them. Hence, I would like to know the effectiveness of teaching them way in advance and will it affect their attentiveness in class and so on.

I don't teach ahead of school because I don't want them to get bored, and I want them to have an incentive to listen in school. Feedback from teachers is mostly through PTMs, though for one of my girls, her teachers did give me more frequent feedback in lower Pr as she was quite inattentive (because of learning disability). Generally, no news means your child is doing fine!

What sort of culture shock issues are you referring to? There will always be differences between things taught at home and things encountered in school, but so far we haven't had any problems.
