Apple Cin:
Was told then that school gate closes at 6.30pm which is why student care closes at 6.30pm. The after school care for MOE kindy will close at 7pm next year. So you may want to enquire with the student care if it will extend operating hours to 7pm.Yes it is!
Next headache to sort out now is how to be able to make it back to FV to fetch him by 6.30pm. Real challenge as I work far away... -
Morning everyone!
Any idea whether when will we be getting the orientation kit? Or there isn't any?
Getting excited for the orientation... :rahrah: -
Parents of children in the student care, any idea where can we get kids sleeping bags other than NTUC/Giant? Seems like those are more for adults and quality is nylon/polyester type which is quite warm.

Hi! yeah, received it few days back as well. -
Was looking through the student care details, also went for an appt with the student care-in-charge earlier today. At first I thought it was a typo error - that nap time for P1 is from 2.30pm to 3pm - only 30 mins. But it is correct, after we clarified with the person-in-charge.
Would like to ask Mummies of existing students - how (well) did your child cope upon entering P1 student care, in terms of sleep? My son has been very used to at least 2 hr nap since childcare. Switching to just 30 mins nap seems quite a drastic change. I strongly believe that children should need at least 10-12 hrs of sleep a day as it is essential for their development. -

Apple Cin:
Having a shorter nap time will allow your child to sleep earlier. Probably they will feel tired at around 8 to 8+pm. Waking up at 6 or 6+am the next morning should be sufficient to last them through the school hours before taking the power nap.Was looking through the student care details, also went for an appt with the student care-in-charge earlier today. Start training your little one 2 months before the school term starts. Slowly reduce his nap time and make him sleep earlier to get used to the routine. -
