DS is currently not taking RA (he was offered RA Geog but he didn't take up the offer). DS plans to apply RA Chem or Bio in Yr-5..

After reading about the heavy workload in Yr-5 & 6, I have second thots too.. šŸ˜“

Need to decide which science to drop in year 5 too. So yr ds is likely to do chemistry and biology in yr 5 and 6? Do you think it is advisable to drop physics?

DS is currently doing 3 Sciences and 1 Humanities. Most people (including his Seniors) have advised DS not to drop Physics, as most Uni courses require Physics as one of the entry criteria. But DS says he prefers Chem & Bio to Physics. DS can be quite stubborn once he has made up his mind..

Which 2 Sciences does your boy have stronger interest in ? Seems like many would choose to do Chem & Physics, as I've heard/read that Bio is a rather 'heavy' subject..

DS still has one year to change his mind, hopefully..

What is the criteria, to do Triple Science, in Year 6 ?

must pupil fight very hard to be within top 5 to 10 %, in order to be eligible for Triple Science ?

Total : how many Yr 6 (A level) classes ?
Out of these : how many constitute Triple Science classes ?
(this will give us an idea : is it easy or difficult to do Triple Science ?)

Every subject comes with its own level of difficulty at A levels and what will sustain you is your interest. Of course you must be competent in that subject as well to begin with. šŸ™‚

She enjoys Maths. During our time, there was Maths and F Maths at A levels. Is there still some F Maths equivalent at A levels now? Sorry, a bit out of touch now.
