If you are staying near Redhill market, it is actually a very long walk to the school. Alternatively, you can walk over to Alexandra Road and hop on a bus from the bus stop at Tanglin View condo. Its two bus stops away. The walk is no joke if it rains.
-
Agree, if it rains, have to take bus at Tanglin View Condo le.

I live near the Redhill market too. I believe bus no 14, 32 and 64 will go as far as the SEAB premises. Need to walk from there to the school, probably about 7-8 mins. Not sure what’s the procedure for requesting for a public bus stop nearer the school. Currrently, there isn’t really any bus stop near the school along Delta Road.

Hopefully more parents can feedback to LTA 62255 582 about public bus services to this new school.

thanks all.
i just realised that is a bus stop just in front of the school. it is directly under the pedestrian overhead bridge.
the bus numbers are 51, 139, 186 and 970.
well i do not own a car, so i would have to resort to either taking the school bus, public transport or by foot. My main concern is the 'economic of scale' with the school being so near yet my kid has to wake up so early. In this context, we are being faulted for living nearer to the school :rotflmao:
keeping my :xedfingers: for a car comes next year. -
Yes, there is a bus stop along Alexandra Road but I don’t think this is of help to those living in the Redhill or Tiong Bahru area. We need a bus stop along Lower Delta Rd or Delta Rd closer to the school.

Any comments or feedback about the student care in Alexandra Primary School? From the school’s website, i can only see its proteach…
-
i had a talk with the VP ALPS on the student care. The tender is out for student care. which also means that there would be more vendors vying for it besides Proteach and parents would have to stay tune and see which vendor successfully gets the tender and what are the curriculum, the vendor is offering.
VP ALPS did mention that they are looking for vendors whose curriculum is align with the school’s. -

If only 10 mins walk, I would walk the kid to school rather than school bus. Still need to pay the school bus during Jun/Dec holiday.well i do not own a car, so i would have to resort to either taking the school bus, public transport or by foot. If you cycle...can consider cycle your kid to school daily also. :scratchhead: :scratchhead: -

Typically the school buses will reach school early (e.g by 7.15am) so that they will not be caught in the jam near the school entrance. Thus the pickup time is normally quite earlyi have registered for the school bus service. and was informed that for my area (Redhill Close), my pick up time would be 6:30-45 am.
That would basically make my kid to be up before 6am. To be in school by 7:30am which is less than 1km or about 10 mins walk away.
