Hi, i wish to know whether MOE is no longer using T-scores, if yes, so the scores that students are getting are all the raw marks?

Last time, with T-score, I read from some parents, children should focus more on languages in order to get higher T-score and now what should the students focus on?
          Can anyone can advise? :thankyou:

            Hi, Janet,

Think DS likely to score B for the languages liao. :nailbite:
Maybe his mind is still immature. Terrible compo.Oral and comphre...also bad.

Good that you started this thread.reminds us to start preparing early. 😓

              Hi janet_lee88,

Do you mind revealing the score of English PSLE result of your elder child?
Which English tuition class did your child go to previously?

              Thanks.

I’m sorry. I may have upset you.

My son is still not improving even tuition in Mindstretcher since K2, getting worse in his English compo, hope to find better centre. I can’t teach as I scored "C" for my PSLE.

                    it's ok...i'm not upset.

the syllabus has changed a great deal. I am unable to coach my daughter for her compo either. my A for english was donkey years ago, I may even fail if I have to re-sit psle.

dd2 didn’t do so well for situational writing. dd1 was so dissatisfied and said how can get this kind of result blah blah blah, she threatened to drill dd2 for another 3 hours on situational writing. On the other hand, i just said ‘oh okay, 加油’

dd1 told dd2 she is expecting a certain mark for dd2’s Science, yet to know result. dd2 looking scared hearing her sister’s expectation lol

My dh finds the three of us amusing. jie jie’s expectation super high. Mummy will just say okay, 加油. dd2 is more scared of dd1 than mummy. She wont hesitate to tell me her result because i always accept her grades

My role is to encourage and keep dd2 motivated, cannot criticize her because i feel that she lacks confidence. And she has very high expectations of herself so i have to balance her expectation by lowering mine

                        Same situation here.
I am very relieved when she passes...but for this sa2, I have to raise my expectations a little.
My son raises his voice when she forgets what he has taught...and that's when she starts crying...i will have to step in to defuse the tension. Son will start complaining, 'this is unfair. Why aren't you scolding her? I taught her and she forgot.'
