Any parents successfully transfer your DS from IP to O level before? I cannot wait till year 3, understand no chance to do it and no time to prepare O level exam. How to do it? Must get MOE to approve? Please help. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
Just to update, I finally got my DS transferred to O level track in Sec 3 as he failed his Chemistry and Physics papers in Sec 2 final exam. I emailed and got to meet up with his form teacher and another discipline head master. The school did the transfer. No need to go to MOE. However, he was not able to choose the class to be in. CHS assigned and it may be the โ€œso soโ€ class, at least I knew not the best class in O level track. I remember he needed make decision between Arts or humanities subjects for O level track. He was more relax and happier in O level class and I am able to keep track of his results though still not good in school. At the end, he scored 14pts and went to Catholic JC, got B3 for both Chemistry and Physics. Just to clarify that it does not mean in O level track, teachers are better in teaching or pay more attention to their work. My DS also had tuition outside. Thanks.

May I know how many CHS boys from IP get into Eunoia JC every year? Almost 99% are currently in EJC?

Again time fly.. Didn't log in years and now my son had completed his O level. Just to share our experience on either IP or O level track. We are so so glad we made the right choice to put him in O level track instead of IP. His point do qualify him for IP. But we felt that going into IP will restrict his choices after his secondary life. Now he passed with great result and he is able to qualify for any JC in Singapore! Catholic high is a great school and my DS had matured and become more adopted to high stress level. This in turn prepare him for future high ler education and hopefully working life.[/quote]
Too late for me to see this post. I insisted my Ds to do IP Program. Now struggling in year 2. Now have to think how to write email to school to transfer him to O level track. ๐Ÿ˜”

Can I check anyone from IP program change to O level track in lower Sec?

How to do it? Any criteria? 4 or more subjects graded B and C?

Hi, my Son in Sec 1 IP now, any parents know where to get school past year exam papers all subjects? Or Sec 2 parents can photocopy your sonโ€™s Sec 1 papers and I can pay for them. Please pm me. Thanks.

If i am not wrong, the library have them... but i suggest u dont do too much at this point in time, IP is not suppose to be rote learning... your ds qualify for ip, thus should be able to keep up.. dont worry

1)Are the questions in lower Sec exam papers for IP students and O level students the same?
2)For IP, if a subject is graded B, is it B3 or B4?
3)How do I know whether my Son is doing fine as I do not expect to see 6 or more Grade A? I do not want to wait till form teacher to call me.
      Please advise.
