May I ask, as compared to an 'A' level cert, any problem/disadvantage faced when applying for Ivy League universities and Ox-bridge using NUSH diploma?

Monash, Uni of British Columbia, McGill, Trinity College of Dublin, LSE, UCL, Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Brown, Cornell, Duke, Georgie Inst of Tech, Harvard, Harvey Mudd College, MIT, Purdue, UCLA
There are 3 cases: US universities, other universities that knows NUSH, and universities that do not know us yet.
US universities generally still require SATs, no matter if the application is holding a NUSH diploma or A level result. What NUSH offers in addition to the diploma is a set of transcript that details the student's progress through NUSH, including development, academic, research, etc. These transcripts may provide a more complete (and hopefully a better) picture of the student's high school life, which may aid in the assessment of the student for the university.
Other universities that knows NUSH generally hold the NUSH diploma in high regard, both due to the rigour of the curriculum as well as through our alumni. Interestingly, this includes most of the better universities in UK or other countries. These are able to assess NUSH graduates based on the diploma alone (more or less), though it is still advantageous to have other qualifications (especially for the top few, such as Oxford or Imperial College London).
For universities that do not know us very well (yet), the college counselors will send over the school's information and talk with them upon a student's indication of interest of application for that university. Students generally do not have to do much. In addition, for these universities, other qualifications, such as the Advanced Placement exams that the students take, will be very helpful to admission. These universities may also assess the student based on AP alone.
The main advantage of NUSH diploma is not just the diploma itself, but also the set of transcript that comes with it. In addition, the reputation of NUSH probably will help in the STEM fields.
What it may fall short may be due to the difficulty to compare to other qualifications. After all, A level is more established. In this regard, NUSH tries to reassure the universities with our AP exam results, as well as periodic review of NUSH by MOE and NUS. -
How is GPA computed, in NUS High ?
Eg : Year 6 Physics subject
does it mean attain GPA 4.0 score means : fall within 80 to 100 ?
GPA 3.6 means 70 to 79 ?
GPA 3.2 means 65 to 69 ?
GPA 2.8 means 60 to 64 ?
GPA 2.4 means 55 to 59 ?
GPA 2.0 means 50 to 54 ?
This GPA score per Subject :
is it only for Year 6 alone, or had been accumulated, since Year (1 to 6) ? -

Modular Credit for Physics A: 4 (roughly the number of less hours per week per semester)
Module Grade for Physics A: B- (3.0)
Modular Credit for Physics B: 2
Module Grade for Physics B: A+ (5.0)
GPA for that semester : (4*3.0+2*5.0)/(4+2) = 3.67 -

NUS High takes a modular approach to teaching. This is more evident in upper years, when the content is more specialized.
One physics module could be \"Special Relativity\".
The other physics module could be \"Quantum Mechanics\". Entirely different topic.
It is somewhat like what the universities do. -

If a typical University will to assess a typical 'A' level Exam Physics results and a typical NUSH High Diploma Physics result - with full transcripts showing slew of module names, modular credits/grade etc, which will tell you more about the performance and level of mastery in the subject ?.

On top of that the NUSH Diploma graduating transcript has everything about the student's 6 years performance in academics, participations in Olympiads, competitions, research projects , CCA, CIP etc. This is the advantage what Artume is talking about.
