Hi pinball, is this gate 11 near the Marymount MRT station?

Hi YY1205, it's along bradell road. These is a bus stop right in front. We have a direct bus from home to that bus stop but I am not sure if the gate is open and how long is the walk into the school.

About 10 minutes walk from that gate to Raffles Square

If my DS takes MRT, will alight on Marymount MRT station.

On rainy days, it's advisable to alight at Marymount MRT station (instead of Bishan MRT station) coz there's a sheltered walkway from the station to the school gate. Need to walk past the JC to reach the Sec Sch, though..

The students use their ezLink cards to open the gate. The Year-1 boys can 'tong-pang' from their seniors, before they get their new ezLink cards..

VSK.. Did you manage to attend the GAP Sem briefing last Thursday ?

Just an update, for parents who didn't make it for the briefing..

Mr Chan is back at RI. He gave a brief speech, after which 5 Yr-4 boys shared their Gap Sem experiences..

The focus of the briefing was on the Student-Initiated Courses (SICs), as the boys need to start thinking & working on them during the year-end school holidays, if they choose to do SICs..

There will be another briefing in mid-Jan next year, when parents will be briefed on the various International Courses and Local Work Attachments that the boys can apply for their Gap Sem..

Btw.. The slides have been uploaded onto Stamford..

I had some problems downloading the attachment from stamford14 ..but finally managed to do it....think they sent another attachment abt the gap semester today.

Ds HMT borderline case ...so he isn't eligble for some of the SICs, I think. Cos of O level HMT next year.

Which area does your ds intend to go into?

Btw… I think it’s still possible for your DS to qualify for overseas courses. Tell him not to give up, and work hard in Year-4 Sem-1…

DS is eligible for overseas courses, but I don’t know which area(s) he’s interested in. Will discuss with DS over the holidays…

What about your DS ? Which area(s) is he interested in ?
