Ask her to annotate the passage before attempting to answer. That helps my DD although she scores only 13 to 15 for compre.

Can anyone recommend where to find out a list of past PSLE Compo questions (both English and MT (Chinese) - both normal and higher) and where to find a list of Compo topics? Preferably online.

Can share with me how 7 where to find a private tutor nowadays?
what are the charges per subject eg MT , Sci or Math. Minimum 1.5 or 2hrs?
my worry is how we know the tutor is capable if I get from those tuition agency…
how abt any recommedations for small grp tuition in SK area?

Actually my hub and myself were Math and Engineering background/major, we can teach but we need to go and find more sums and relearn and expose ourselves in pri sch curriculum- time and effort draining
We think outsource will help us to ease the coaching load

Any gd holiday prog for EL?? Preferably in NE area… haizzz his EL is horrible… I don’t even dare to see his paper… he can score 90 for maths and 60 for EL…

Application dates vary for different schools. You should check the website of the school, call them or even visit them. But generally it should be in the beginning of the year. Auditions are usually held in July / August. For more information regarding DSA timelines, visit here:

DSA is not easy to get in. There will be rounds of interviews and strict selection criteria. But it is worth it as the aggregrate score of getting into the desired schools will be lowered so the stress of PSLE will be lesser.

If your child is talented in areas other than academics, it is worth giving DSA a try.
