Wonder if any school can defeat the highest score of 280
I don't really think so.
280 is indeed outstanding. The next best is at 275 which is 5 points away. -
Yew Tee Primary - top score 268

this year : what is COP for NYPS girls, to remain in NYGH IP ?
I remember i read from ksp somewhere somewhere, 45%-47% scored above 250 in Nanyang for 2012 psle, No? :scratchhead:
Average 235 is also considered low, very close to the avg score like scgs pri and mgs pri and some non-gep schools.
Relative's daughter failed to get min 250 so she has to exit the Nanyang family.
Totally devastated.
She said P mention this year result not as good as last year.
What happened?
251 ? -

Help to re-post.Thanks GiftedGem and Just4Fun and volunteering to undertake this massive exercise

To make things simpler for everyone, we have created http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/node/add/psle-sch-top-scores for anyone to report a T-score.
All reported scores will then be automatically recorded and sorted in the list http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/psle_top_tscores.
So just report a score, maybe even your own child's T-scores. You will earn 10KP$ for every T-score reported.
Best wishes for all children awaiting this important milestone of your lives. May you get the scores you deserve! -

The current P was from Nan Hua right?
Nan Hua's average score and % of students scoring above 250 are higher than NYPS now.
ex Principal of NYPS ?
they swap schools ?[/quote]
no.... understand she was from Tao Nan...
Indeed this year Nan Hua did well. The % of above 250 is quite impressive at 39.4% which works out to be about 114 students! -
Zhangde Primary School - Top Scorer 271

3 schools :Indeed this year Nan Hua did well.

Tao Nan, Nan Hua and Nanyang are SAP schools, with GEP program.
after Nanyang changed Principal : drop was substantial
after Nan Hua changed Principal (from ex Tao Nan) : the increase was stunning
this year, Nan Hua won over Nanyang in one aspect :
in terms of % of pupils 250 and above.
leadership of Principal speaks a lot.
Then how did Tao Nan fare, after Ex P left for Nan Hua ? -
every cohort is different and its not exactly fair to compare current batch with previous batches’ results. the quality of the kids may differ just like the difficulty level of the papers may differ too. instead of focusing on the top T score isn’t it more meaningful to look at where the school stands in terms of mean/average score and the number of students who score more than 250, for example? so what if certain school has a student who scored the highest but the majority of its students are lower than national average? does it mean the school did well against the others? is one top T score reflective of the school’s overall results? certainly not.
some posters commented that NYPS’ average score of 235 is low. but the last i checked, ai tong (219), rosyth (221) both SAP schools too are lower. only NHPS did better. unless we know whats the national average, can we jump to conclusion that NYPS has done badly compared to others?
am just speaking out loud- am not connected to NYPS in anyway.
