I'm from RGS, year 4 next year! -
Hi, not sure if anyone's asked this question before as I'm new to this thread...
May I know how the Year 1s are classed? Do they separate the GEPpers from the Mainstreamers? For Mainstreamers, are they classed according to their T-scores? Will the lower classes be given less priorities / opportunities or be outcast by the GEPpers?
Also, may I know what the culture is like? Is it a caring and sharing environment? Cos I've heard some of the girls tend to be self-centred as compared to the other girls' school (sorry, no offense meant here)...
Thank you so much.

As of previous years, year 1 classes are as such: about 8 classes of mainstreamers including like sports DSA, and the remaining 5 consists of GEP DSAs+high mainstreamers. The scores of these high mainstreamers varies from year to year, it has been around 269^ for the previous years.
No, they will not get more opportunities, programs, better teachers, more notes... nothing. Honestly not that much of a difference haha. There are plenty of opportunities for interaction between GEP and non-GEP, such as CCAs, interest groups etc! Anyway in year 3 they split the classes according to subject combi again, and by the end of year 1, nobody cares if you were from GE anyway. We are all part of a big family!!
I'd say it's definitely a caring and sharing environment!! Of course there are a few oddballs of selfish people (as of every other school) but majority are really nice people with really good hearts   -
Hi choco05, thank you so much for your reply. You have been most helpful.
Just curious, will the school be having an open house today (Sat morning)? We missed this year's open house as it clashed with another school's open house. -
