Just to share that DD's classmate is offered EESIS with 257 so cut off is not at 258.

But 257 not being offered EESIS is from a parent (first hand info), yours is from DD's classmate (second hand info). I am more inclined to take the former info. It is quite unlikely or even ridiculous that there are decimal places after 257 to decide who get who don't get EESIS.

Not trying to upset anyone or prove anything here but the EESIS offer letter appeared before my eyes when her mother opened up the option form so I am incline to believe that the decimals before or after the 257 is the deciding factor in the EESIS award

This has never happened in the past. It would be ridiculous if MOE did this. 1/3 of those posted to independent schools are supposed to be awarded with EESIS, but at this juncture they don't even know those who qualify for EESIS will apply for independent schools!

@zyberk, another criteria to take note of for this phase in Nus high is an A* in math and science.

My dd scored 253 plus HMT 2 = 255 . ( 3 A* and 1 A)

Her first choice is Dunman High. however COP for past year was 256. Does she stands a chance? As we will be away on posting results, hope to submit more confident application.

I saw in the school selection booklet some school offer subjects like Math (Syll T), Math (Syll A), what does (Syll A) and (Syll T) stand for? Can someone advise Thanks.

Syllable A is for NA students, while Syllable T is for NT students.
