Thank you for your feedback. Do you mean pte car can drive in to the school compound to pick or drop kids?
Yes, after the school buses have left the school compound, the security will open the gates for private cars to drive in to pick their kids.

Hi I'm new here. My DS is starting P1 at TNS next year and deciding between shuttle bus or Bus No.14 to fetch to and from school. Any feedback from parents using these services currently? Saw in an earlier thread that bus no. 14 had some overcrowding issues? Wonder if it's been resolved? Appreciate some advise on this, thanks!

IMO, overcrowding in school bus will never be resolved. When there are demand, there will be supply - so many parents put their kids on school buses, so the drivers will try to squeeze more kids to earn more money. For your info, TNS school buses are not those \"big type\" so they are not subjected to the safety belt ruling (i.e. all kids must be belted) hence 3 kids can be allowed to squeezed into 2 seats.

shuttle bus is fast...leaves for school usually at 12.05pm & usually before 7pm to marine crescent..and leaves for school usually at 12.05pm

so depends on your concern if its
            1. Time - it was our top priority since we 're worried abt hardly any time in the evening to eat and finish homework and sleep by 9.30pm
            2. Costs - its more expensive for shuttle bus but its direct svc.
            3. Space - due to higher cost, shuttle bus has more space compared to no. 14..

Hi \"Oh My Gosh\", thanks for the tips. But this bus 14 is a big bus with an auntie to help out, driver says he won't exceed max capacity so I'm wondering if the previous complaints were perhaps he was driving a small bus and upgraded now? That's my guess la.. Confused now.. :?

Hi quixation, thanks for the tips. I’m concerned with:

                1. Kids safety - must have a belt each. Best with auntie. Shuttle bus uncle told me he may switch to smaller bus next year, with no auntie. Tats y I tot maybe safer to go with bus 14? I’m beginning to understand this is a highly unregulated service… Hiaz…
                2. Time - spoke to both bus drivers seems timing abt same…
Cost slight difference not so much a concern…

only in the evening for afternoon session (ie P1 & P2).

Most parents prefer to wait in the car outside the main gate though..
