Dear KSPs
My child got 247 + 2. Would like to hear your views on the following choices:
1. CGS
2. Nan hua high
3. Bukit panjang high
4. Scgs
5. Commonwealth
6. Fairfield methodist
We stay in the west. Thanks!
Do u think it is wi5shful thinking to consider scgs ip for appeal? Did not put it first because do not want to take risk -

Thank you so much for your thoughts! Appreciate it! Between Victoria and RV, would u put RV ahead of Victoria? Or is Victoria actually a better school for A levels? Thanks so much again!
I agree with teacher Aaron and if ACS IB cop dun drop and remain as last year, very likely you will get RVHS.
ACS(I) IB would be borderline. Depends on this year's COP movement. RVHS should be quite safe. If you don't get ACS you are most likely to get RVHS.Teacher Aaron:
Dear Abachee and Teacher Aaron
Having read all of your posts, I would really appreciate if you can help share your thoughts on my DS' intended choice of schools. His score is 252+2.
ACS(I) - IB
RVHS
Victoria (IP)
Catholic High (IP)
SJI (IB)
What do you think of the choices and the order. Also do you think we should also put ACS(I) O level just in case?
Appreciate your thoughts please.
As for your question regarding RVHS & Victoria. Both are very good sch and both have their niche teaching system. One thing stand out about Victoria is that they are in a speed train to VJC for their IP program to A level and their O level track have affiliation to VJC and thats the bonus for your child. If he struggle & cannot meet the promotion criteria of the IP program , he will have to fall back to O level track and that's a backup plan for him. -

You have 6 choices... Its ok to risk one or two... Nobody knows what will happen in the posting or appeal.... In my opinion its worth a try.Dear KSPs

Hi all,
You guys can use this link for reference as it is the most accurate COP of 2013 for all the sch as it take in the last student count of the student getting accepted by the sch including Appeal case.

Teacher Aaron:
Made a mistake cedar is also 251 for Ip
I would say little chance of NJC. The HMT doesn't count. Cedar would be borderline case, depending on this year's demand for Cedar. If the COP goes up by 1 this year, you won't get it. SCGS seems more likely to be the one you'll get out of the three.laelmo:
My dd got 253+2 and I would like to try
1. Njc (255)
2 cedar ip (251)
3 scgs ip (251)
What r the chances of getting into NJC
Desperately need some advise
If I put
1. Njc 255
2. Cedar 251
Scgs 251
Is it too risky if I miss njc will I still get a place in cedAr? -

I do agree that it's ok to risk one or two choices, however, I have always thought that the IP track is meant for t-scores of 250 and above.

Interesting! Wondering how did the website keep track of the Appeal cases? The COPs for the first 4 schools listed at the top of the table are the same as that announced on the MOE website. I don't think these has taken the Appeal cases into consideration.Hi all,

Please take note that COP is derive from supply & demand of the sch vacancy. If all the vacancy have been filled up by the COP of the year 2012 then the COP of 2013 will remain same as 2012. Vice visa if they demand drop, then the cop of 2012 will have to drop a point or 2 inorder to filled up all the vacancy. This also include Appeal case if certain percentage of posted student to their sch wanna transfer out.

This is the reason why RI & RGS COP drop much from 265 to 259
