      Luanee:
Choose those that can clock the max hours with min leave, ie dont choose those 1-2 hrs type. Choose those that can get 4-5 hrs with half day leave or 9-10 hours with one day leave type.

Luanee, this is really good strategy. I know that if the school has camps for the students and need volunteers, just 1 night stay with the kids, you will clock 12 hours or more. And the husband normally can be that volunteer for the night.

Agreed with Luanee...I'm also a working mum of 2 and my child's age same as yours. I'm the maid too...hahaha :celebrate: yet I still apply for PV. Think in terms of the long run, your child will benefit if he/she is able to get in to your 'choice' school. I tot schools allow both parents to chalk up the hrs, but even if unable, find those with 1 fullday event, i day chalk up 8hrs, like tat u need to set aside 5 days leave and I think u can spread for a year ba.

Dun worry, we are all :? :? :? ...will find a solution somehow!

HPPS is one school that I know which only allow only one parent to sign up and clock the PV hours.

              hi

I may not have followed this thread closely due to the numerous pages but I wanted to ask mummies and daddies who had been selected for PVs before; about the time taken by the school to confirm the results of the PV application.

I have sent mine in for 2 schools since late Nov/Dec for P1 registratation 2010 but still have not heard anything from the schools. I am wondering if I should call the schools?

                IMp5,

You are entering P1 in 2011? In that case the clsoing date for most school would be May or Jun 2009. So maybe you just hang on until the school inform you the duties to perform.

Timing is about right actually. I can’t rem when I send in my application letter, but I was called up for interview in Nov 2006 (for 2008 registration) and we got the confirmation within 10 days.

Probably it doesnt hurt to call the schools up to enquire.

Hi, I just signed up as PV with the school I wanted my kid to get it. I’m not sure if interview will be conducted but I was told that the school will call me in May or June to tell me if I am selected.
