      Dear WSP,

Just wondering if there are any new teachers joining the school ? Will the P2 teachers teaching the P1 class as well ?

      Hi LFC4ever,

There will be new teachers joining the school. The names and responsibilities of the new teachers will probably be given out to parents on the first day of school.

Hope you are enjoying the holidays.

      Hi Tenko
Thanks for your information. Yes I am enjoying the holidays but also looking forward to the activity and events that the school have planned for next year.

        Great News.

I heard from LTA that two new bus stops are being constructed. The stops will be located by 547C and 548B. They will only be a short walk to the school from either bus stop. The services that will call at the stops are the following: 922, 972 and 971E. This is great news along with the news of the covered walkway from Jelapang LRT station to the School entrance.

A special message from Principal, Mrs Lim.

Just called the school book supplier, was informed to buy P1 chinese books when school re-opens. They also have no idea about the pricing at the moment.

                Hi sfkwek,
last year there were also a few books that were unavailable until the term started. I would suggest that you telephone the school to confirm everything. πŸ˜„

                  Hi.

Was disappointed that I have queued for nothing (intention to get the chinese books).

No notice was pasted on the wall. When I asked the book supplier, she merely told me she HAD already announced outside. BUT she said that she didn’t know if I was there when she announced. Apparently I was not there. If not, I won’t be queuing up right to their counter! Terrible. She even told me that I can check with the publisher myself.

She mentioned she had informed the school. But I didn’t receive any information on it.

Quite disappointing that things turned out such way. Disorganised.

I was queuing earlier with the intention to collect the embroidery name tag and purchase of Chinese books.

Since I was alone, I started the uniform queue. After 40mins, ended up label not ready (Lady staff not very sure when can collect - Told me ask another staff).

So I joined the queue for books, ended up waited for 45 mins, queue did not seem to move so left forbanother appointment, feeling silly.

Wonder when will the Chinese books arrive.

Same experience and worst as my mother went on behalf instead. She don’t understand English and said she queued for 2hour. Lady from bookshop simply said she has already announced in the morning and wrote a notice and pasted on the wall. Not her fault if people don’t read or miss the announcement.

How disorganized! Shouldnt we be informed via email? If not Shouldnt a notice or message be passed to the guard or station a bookshop staff outside to inform people? Seems like Working parents like me must take leave to buy a few school items since everything is in English!

                        Dear Parents of P1 2015,

During P1 orientation sale of books, the bookshop vendor had informed parents that all P1 Mother Tongue books are currently still not available (this is happening in all primary schools in Singapore) and parents are also advised to call up the vendor to enquire on the arrival of these books before making a trip down to the school bookshop.

The name tags will be handed over to your child’s form teacher who will then hand them over to your child when school opens.
