Haha I like to scare them with ‘‘do you want to end up in changkat changi’’, which i know can be rather mean to the school.
-
Sometime we need to be tutor as ourselves if we want our kids to have a good progress in their study. I send my dd to learning lab for English, she still got 60 plus. I decide to teach her using my way, she got 70 plus. And my dd also doesnot wang to quit learning lab.
-
:rotflmao: I also do that! Use some schools near my house to scare them with. One of them had a bad rep some years back, so use that school a lot...It's not fair on the school, but what do we do

Vividlaurel, I sat with my dd a very little time after my work or during the weekend. It was very tired. No choice. My dd has no confidence on her so it is difficult for me as well. Luckily she got a responsible form teacher this year. She got improved higher Chinese improved. This holiday is important for the next year exam.

Your teaching is more customized to daughter's needs. From my understanding, LL gives worksheets and the level is dependent on a child. If the centre is not able to help your daughter do better, why continue? -
It is true. My dd does not want to quit. She likes learning lab so I like her continue for another year. Learning lab also teaches a lot of advanced stuff which students will be benefit in the future.

but she is going to be busier towards june with intensive supplementary...will she have time? I am happy for your daughter that mummy can do a better job. -
She got her time at last mins. She is happy go lucky girl. Don’t have much target on her goal. I am so worried about her PSLE next year.

Experienced parents can help here?
My gal wants to go to a girls school in secondary and all of them seem to be the top ones!
So if she needs to score in the range of 250 to meet the COP, what should be the scores in the subjects? Even if i get a range (like A* for english, A for maths etc), it will help me help her set her PSLE goals!
Thanks
