For my experienced, if 4 subjects can score 340 above, usually the tscore will get 260 above, if 4 subjects can score 320 above, tscore will be above 250.

There is no one way to translate the school raw scores to the T-score. It all depends on the school’s standard vis-a-vis the national standard. Some schools are higher than the national standard, some schools are lower while some schools are more or less on par.

If you get your kids to try the prelim paper of the top schools, you will notice that some papers are tougher than others and the kids could score less than 80 marks for some schools and more than 85 and 90 marks for others.

            MMM:
            sleepy:

if use .75, my dd's actual t score is under by 15
And if use .73, under by single digit rather than double digit

So I guess not a very accurate estimation in our case

For us, prelim score has never been accurate too. Somehow, I feel that it's not a good gauge and it's like comparing apples to oranges.

            Agreed.
Double digit difference is too way off to serve as a gauge

Referring to one of the gep schools prelim papers. So I presume difficulty should be close to psle standard

Not my intention to start a discussion on which factor to use (0.72, 0.73 or 0.75) to estimate eventual t score.

I'm merely pointing out that it may not be a close estimation, at least in our case.
Although most classmates were caught by surprise with their eventual t score.

One has to be realistic when choosing a multiplier.

Eg, if almost the whole top class gets close to 90% or higher, it is quite unrealistic to expect 30~40 kids getting 270 in most schools. Those at 90% is probably closer to low 260 so a multiplier of 0.72 ~ 0.73 is about right.

Was looking for this list. Also does anyone have the COP of all schools for 2014 (2015 Sec 1)? Was only able to find for 2013 till now.

                    Thanks
