I am desperately searching for a Student Care Centre for my PCPS P2 DD in Bishan/TPY area. However, most of the centers that I have contacted only cater for students from schools which are operating single session. :sad:

Please kindly share with me if you know of any Student Care in Bishan/TPY which still runs in the morning offering Before-school Care service. Need to enrol my DD before school re-opens in Jan2015. *Desperate and helpless*

Parents, do you know on day 1 of school, are the students required to bring all the books and files? I am wondering what to pack for my P3?

Until now, I have not received name tags for my P1. Service of the vendor is really bad. School is almost starting, in just a few days time. I have to text them a few times before I received a reply and was told they are very busy. This is not a valid explanation. You know in the first place the number of students in the school and you should have added more manpower! My nephew and niece from other schools received theirs 2 weeks after orientation. Can school admin provide 2-3 vendors instead of just 1?

My P1 DD only received her name tag after school reopened last year. The name tags were handled to them by the respective form teachers. So i guess this year may be the same.

Precious lee, for p3 1st day don’t need to bring any files, probably just Chinese text n workbook, math workbook, report book n a storybook. …but I think they used none probably…more time were spent on getting to new friends n teacher.


I managed to receive name tags for my p1. I submitted 1-2days before orientation took exact 1mth to reach me.

Hello Parents,


Great advice Muska!!! On top of the things listed, please bring along the (1) iREAD assignments that was given to your children the previous year.

You might also want to ask your children to bring along some (2) single lined exercise books. Some teachers might wish to collect some for spelling / journal writing.

If possible, you might also want your children to bring along the (3) blue notebook for Mathematics Mental Sums.

For P3, it is a transition to the narrower, single line exercise books. So if you have some unused single lined exercise books from P1 / P2, you might want to use it for Journal Writing instead.

Oh yes, if there is, the (4) penmanship books too!

Hi, my child is in Pri 1 next month, like to check if it is alright to put on shorts underneath the white skirt she is wearing? She has pink and yellow shorts but it will be fairly obvious under a white skirt, but don’t think can find white shorts in the market. Please advise.

In addition, can she put on white singlet under the blouse?

She has quite many "princesses" bags and we wonder whether it is appropriate and adequate to use them for at least pri 1 or we have to invest on the proper bags like Impact, SPI etc.?
