      Thank you for everyone reply.

But how should I push her to study in the right track. So far I have given her to do synthesis & transformation, Casco Primary English & English & vocabulary worksheet. I did not buy any assessment book on sentence structure . Will this help. I am afraid that if she continues did not write in proper English , it affect her English in Secondary school. My nephews have taken their "O" result but failed their English. English is very important that why I am very worried.

yes buy her a grammar book and more books on grammar practice! i am pretty sure there are practice books out there focusing on grammar like conquer <sth>. There is this thick book with 100 grammar worksheets, 100vocab worksheets, and many other practices. I think that book is very good value for money.

yea anyway use the grammar book to teach the rules for grammar.

Yes, reading is very important, you can get a child to write 100 essay, the result may be the same. but with proper guidance (input), i am sure your child will do better.[/quote]

Besides reading, you can also let her watch more english kids show or cartoon, either TV or VCD. Strawberry shortcake, powerpuff girls, Ben 10, Disney animations… plenty of them. It’s a more effective way to pick up correct english than drilling grammar rules with assessment books.

                  Hi All

I have been a silent reader of the forum so far. Really benefited from the tips. 🙂
Was at Popular ytd and saw this Reading Workshop that they are organising for P1 & 2 Parents. Was thinking of signing up for it. Anyone signed up for similar workshops before? Is it effective?

Anyone can advise me what can I do to improve her English . She does not have tuition as cannot afford it. I have attached a copy of her journal for reference. Thank you
Start bringing her to the library. Don't put it off any longer, as she's already in P2. Have you considered CDAC tuition? they're inexpensive.
