Both are quite happy on first day of school.

DS1 has the same form teacher and 2 more friends joining his class. No major changes.
DS2 is the happy go lucky type, generally okay with everything. The only thing is his class is getting the well known fierciest Maths teacher in the entire school.

        zbear:
DS was in a bad mood a few days before school opens.

Yesterday, he was in a better mood. No lessons n I don't know what he did (sorry, I very blur).

DD only starts school on Monday.
nothing much yesterday other than getting confirmed time-table, some letters from school about new extended hours. as usual some forms to acknowledge, sign and return.
daughter is happy go lucky...no complaints.
son complained about some fierce teachers.

No lesson for my kids on first day of school. They have some sort of orientation activities yesterday. Tr also brief them on some changes to their assembly and dismissal points. There also some changes to their sitting position at the canteen.

Arrangement on the 1st day of sch different from last year, so kids have to find own their way to the assembly point. They were v excited when they described to me how they manage to get to the assembly point. Most of their classmates were late.

DS misplaced his wallet and searched around the canteen for it. Luckily, he found it at the general office.

I am the one that were blurred like sotong. Due to the change in the dismissal point and the class sitting position, i could not find my kids yesterday when i fetched them yesterday from sch. My kids found me instead. After saying bye to their tr, they came running to me.

I missed the fond moments of picking dd up at the school. Seeing a sea of children in similar unfit and trying to locate dd among them...

when i saw parents holding the hands of their p1 girls dismissed from school, it reminded me of the time my daughter was in p1...this year she is in p5.

formal lessons start next week...made a few copies of timetable before my daughter loses them. don't know what the homework will be like :nailbite: whether i am able to fit in some work on my side.

son complained about some long-winded teachers and some fierce ones...i get to be 好人

p5 is a crucial year before psle arrives.
                Enjoy!

i am stressed just looking at the jump in English standard…although I’ve been through this before. but i am hoping i can avoid repeating the same ‘first-time’ with younger one.

i can only enjoy ME time after spelling list is out and formal lessons have started...after I've planned daily schedule.

supplementary lessons start end jan...that means another routine...but LONGER HOURS OF ME TIME 🕺

                        Starlight,
I used to dislike fetching my kids during dismissal time bcos of the huge 'mountain of people', imagine 480 pupils, plus parents/caregivers plus small children. We have to squeeze thru just to get out the sch. I cant wait for them to be in p3, so tat i dont have to go into the sch to fetch them and jus need to wait outside the sch gate.
Even so, like u have said, i think it will still be one of my fondest memories in future when i recall them.
