DD is joining AHS Sec 1 this year. She loves the sch very much. Any mummies have kids in Sec 1 too? My DD is in 1H. Is there any difference in different classes like 1A, 1B, 1C, ......1K? (Diffrence as in AHS grouping students who are gd in certain sub in certain class.)

Welcome to AHS. There is usually 3 PC class (for students with psle >250). For last 2 yrs, was 1A/B/C. Not sure if school change the class.

Hi, last year was on 22 Nov 2014.

Yes, open house usually end of year.

Look out for the AHS Carnical, usually in March. It is open to public on that day. You can enter the school to take a look :imcool:

But when I look into her schedules... :scared: :scared:

It seems that 4 out of 5 days for 1st year, she will be home in evening after 5 pm.
1. Two days for remedial lessons till 4pm, based on the Class Timetable
2. Two days on a CCA till 5:30pm, based on CCA schedules.

Is this normal for year 1? :xedfingers:

For CCA - yes ! It's normal.
For remedial - only the weaker students need to attend. The days/time are fix for the respective subj. So if child is above certain % for the test :xedfingers: , child no need to attend the LSP(remedial).

By now, parents should have received the time table for the weekly test for all level :nailbite:
