Even during school hols? Our 930pm bedtime gets thrown out during the hols. It's whatever time they want to go to bed and up the next morning no later than 9am... Can't stand having them behave like piggies. -
bb_ mom:
same here...during the hols, they are hyperactive even at 11pm.Funz:

then sleep till 9am the next day and jumping around like energizer bunnies. -
bb_ mom:
Hols no lah. I don't fancy having to wake up that early also. Bedtime during hols will be 11pm and out of bed by 8.30am in the morning. Kiddos are usually up before that.Funz:

Even now for non-school nights, they can go to bed at 10pm. -
Hi bb mom,
Do you still set your son any work during MT exempted periods? -
Hi ! Reporting here! DD taking PSLE this year. This threat suddenly alive >āā<
My DD still qt laid back, still taking 1-1.5hr nap everyday (sigh!!) before doing HW. I hope my dd not the only one still taking nap. Usually sleeps about 11pm.
How to break the cycle? -

For now, my boy sleeps at 10pm. But he isn't very productive after his regular 9.30pm bedtime. I'm trying to stretch his day ultimately by letting him sleep at 10.30pm. Waking up time is about 6.15am.r2010:

Definitely. Forgot twice so he completed them in the afternoon after we're done with afternoon's revision schedule. Surprisingly, not much whining about this. Probably cos he knows it's his fault. He was busy reading his new storybook and forgot about my work.Hi bb mom,

I've tweaked the amount of work given cos I noticed he can actually do quite a bit during the 1 hour class. if only quantity of work can result in much better grades. -
Puzz...zzle:
If she's productive after a short rest, I think it's better. My DD2 takes naps occasionally as well especially on a day with more vigorous PE activities or a really really scorching afternoon. She walks home quite a distance upon alighting from bus stop, so that adds to the weariness from school - heavy bag and all. So if she's really tired, she may just sleep on her books or complete work haphazardly which to me is not a measure of productivity, so she will set a timer for a short nap before resuming. If home work and study time can be completed well and efficiently, she will still have time to go downstairs to blade or skoot or occasionally join my boys and I at the playground.Hi ! I don't break the cycle but instead I follow her body clock. In our case, it's more productive because more constructive work can be achieved.
