Just a thought...how come no ants or cockroaches running all over the burger and fries?
Maybe ants and cockroaches know better than us to stay away from them??

Not sure I understand the point of the experiment. That a lot of foodstuff we consume have preservatives? Yeah⦠so what? Our ancient ancestors have been preserving foods for centuries using combinations of salt, dessication and climate amongst other things.
So the only question is not whether we should preserve food, but whether the methods we employ are safe.
In my view, all those things around digestibility and cancer risks are scaremongering and generally unfounded, and frequently propounded by companies who have a commercial interest in pushing βnaturalβ foods. -

Everything in moderation and no one should try to "play God".
As readers we just need to be widely informed and take our own decision.
Mcdonalds has always been a choice we will take for a quick meal and this will not exceed 20 times in 365 days. -

anybody interested to conduct the experiment at home ? may be not the entire happy meal just a few fries or bun ?? may be tempted to try (ie. keep a few fries and leave them in the kitchen) when i next eat at any fast food restaurant. well, wonder if the result will be scolding from DH if it actually attracted pests into our house. Btw, seems like no pests wanted to eat uncooked oats too 'cos i spilled some on a corner of the kitchen top last week and itβs still there.
