It's not compulsory but parents are encouraged to send their kids. And what if supplementary class actually used to complete syllabus? Then die if skipped. So far, the dates given are only for T1. So DH said to let him attend.

Some of my students skip their supplementary class to attend tuition. I hope they made the right choice.

How do you guys practice English oral with DC? DS can speak on and on if it’s something he has a passion in eg gundam, nerf guns, certain sports. But if others, he needs a lot of prompting. Especially if it’s something he has never experienced. And we notice he tends to be more hesitant with teachers, based on his interaction with his tutors.

Can zoom in to weaker components of a full paper or can work on areas for a specific subject that the child seems to have challenges with. Time more well spent and more attention received, in comparison to a full class session for extra supplementary lessons.

                      Hi TA,

I am in favor of students skipping supplementary lessons and attending tuition instead. Tuition is customized to students’ weakness. Rather than attending supplementary which is ‘mass market’, why not small group or better still, 1-1 lessons? Tuition is in a more comfortable environment compared to hot and stuffy classroom after a long day.

Mine stays back for supp classes twice a week since P5. For P5 - they were covering normal syllabus during supp classes. P6 supp class will start next week. Homework started for E,M & C during the 1st week of school and at the moment still manageable.

Have finally decided to get him started on doing some English assessment exercises last evening.
