The Chinese dept works v v hard to prepare the yr4 boys. During gap Sem leading up to HMT exams in nov, the preparations r intensive. If the boys cooperate, pay attention n be diligent in doing what the teachers advise, they should perform well, as did my DS' class.

Agree with naggo-nitemare. Ds class did very well too. :rahrah:
I am very grateful to the teachers teaching my ds Chinese in year 3 and year 4. Both were excellent and very dedicated teachers. Met them during ptm. I was convinced that ds was in good hand. True enough, he got back a distinction that I could hardly believe. He has zero tuition. So all credit goes to his Chinese teachers and the Chinese department. To the teachers, I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU.

      :thankyou:

Congratulations to naggo-nitemare & piggyLalala's DS for achieving excellent results! :boogie: :rahrah: May I ask distinction is A1 or A2? Or higher chinese in O level only have A as distinction? Sorry for the silly question :spank:

Thank you, chandelier. Unlike psle, hcl in o level uses the same grading system as the other subjects. A1 to C6 are the passing grades. Distinction generally refers to A1 and A2.

:congrats: Piggylalala & DS !! :rahrah:

My DS1 does not have any tuition (in all subjects) since Year-1. HCL has always been his weakest subject, but his grade improved a lot in Year-3 last year. Hope my DS1 will do as well as your DS1, in his HCL O Levels Exam this year.. 🙏
Thank you ifirefly. I am sure yr ds1 will do very well in the HCL O levels exam this year. HCL is also my ds weakest subject from year 1 to 4.

May I know who is the chinese teacher? DS in yr 4 this yr[/quote]I believed those Chinese teachers teaching the year 4 are mostly good and very experienced in their teaching. I was told that they have been teaching the year 4 for many years.

All the best to yr ds in his HCL O level exam this year.

                Dear RJC1 parents,

My DS is going to register and trail his CCA these days, he intends to choose Frisbee. Any parents have idea about this CCA, I would also like to have the suggestion on how to choose CCA and Groups and Clubs in JC stage, what is the strategy of CCA for and A level exam and final pro folio of uni admissions?

Tks Chandalier for ur well wishes. All the best to ur DS’ HMT pursuits!

I hope my DS’ HMT Journey will be an inspiration to those who were like him, that is views HMT as his weakest subject and have no interest in it and have almost given up on ever hitting 3.6 in HMT and feels that the best outcome for HMT O level is a B grade. Don’t ever give up! Fight till the last 句号!

:congrats: naggo-nitemare on your DS's excellent HCL results !!

:thankyou: for sharing your DS' HCL journey. It will definitely be an inspiration to my DS (& other RI boys), whose weakest subject is HCL.

Thanks to the dedicated HCL teachers in RI, DS' HCL grades has improved significantly over the past 3 years. Hope he will continue to work hard on the subject and excel in his O Level HCL exam this year.. 😄

                        PS : Can say \"Fight till the last 感叹号(!)\" ?? 😓
