Actually i do heard of 1 sch which had 2 orientation. First 1 in mid Nov (1st week of yr end holidays) then 2nd 1 end dec but only the p1 pupils will be in school with their classmates and form teachers.
Agree, 30 dec a bit too late. Maybe just after xmas like 27 or 28 would be good. The trs can have their yr end break then come back to wk at the last few days. -
What type of parent volunteer duties are there? Is the standard of Chinese very high at Pei Chun? Any recommendations for enrichment classes that you find beneficial to your kids?

Not sure abt the parent volunteering duties. But i think the standard is bit higher as compared to other non-SAP schs. They use the higher chinese textbook. I tried putting my gal at Tien Hsia but she didnt enjoy. Mayb not familiar with the classmates and the curriculum is more challenging there. Didnt want her to have CL phobia hence i withsrew after 2 terms. Heard that Berries also not bad. -
Chinese isn’t THAT high, if a good foundation is built during K1 and 2, shouldn’t be a problem. Story Island (there’s one at Bishan) is a enjoyable way of learning.

Hi,
Anyone knows is there any SA1 exam for Primary one this year ? I asked my girl's form teacher but was asked to wait for parent notification instead.

I think the kids do not get to see the actual book. But they get worksheets based on the words in the book.Hi,

I heard that students from pei chun have many home work given by their school teachers.
Does the school provide extra tuition lessons to the students after the normal school lessons?
I remember when i was in primary 5 /6 (30 years ago), my class always stayed back for extra lessons. -
Does anyone know how the classes are streamed in primary three, four, five and six?
Is it according to the students’ result or is it haphazardly?
Do the best students go to 3A and then the next best to 3B and so on? -
Hi All Concern Parents,
I’m new in this Pei Chun Public School Network … My eldest girl is currently studying Primary 1 in this school this year 2010. And my 2nd boy studying Primary 1 in 2011. Thank you !
