      It is very difficult to find the appropriate age-specific Chinese reading materials for P5/P6 because most of the books in the library from China are too difficult and the contents/words that they use are too localized while Spore/Malaysian published storybooks are quite far and few. Do you have any recommendations for the appropriate reading materials for this age group?

        我建议家长到图书馆的“singapore collection\"架子上寻找一些本地作家的作品,这些作品比较本土味,较适合本地学生。
        那里也有一大堆本地出版的学生杂志,经常翻阅里头的作文对学生的语文能力肯定有帮助,也能培养学生对华文的兴趣。一举两得。

          1)他的生活十分贫困,每天过着日晒雨淋的日子。

          2)尽管失败了很多次,他竟然不放弃。

          3)这个假期我学到很多知识,生活十分满足。

          4)爸爸服务旅游业,经常到世界各地做生意。

          5)听到这个坏消息,她紧张得不知所措。

            建议高华学生也买普通华文课本,并在家里自己练习,因为有些学校只教高华课本,不碰普华课本。小六会考时学生得考普华,分数也会计算在Tscore里,若不私下苦练普华词语,以为拿了高华,普华自然没问题,到时恐怕会赔了夫人又折兵。
            老师,只是需要补充小六普华课本吗?小五小四需要吗?只是词语手册足够吗?

                        让孩子尽情陶醉在文字的世界吧!
                        只要孩子抱着积极的心态学习母语,小六会考能不能摘星已不再重要。
                        学习华文是一辈子的事。若12岁那年登上高峰,接下来却兵败如山倒,那也不是一件好事。
