If I am not wrong, the monthly fee is S$80. -
so S$80 is one way rite? i.e going back

Whoops didn't even know about it :stupid:
For those with children there, would you say that the level of Chinese there is more advanced that other schools? Coming from an English-speaking family, we encourage my daughter to speak more in mandarin but it's still not second nature to her yet. That's one of my biggest concern since HW is a SAP school. -
Susan Koh:
Hi Susan, I think that is a general malaise affecting most kids. Mine can't speak properly in Chinese at length, and certainly refuse to talk in Chinese with me. But they are doing ok in SAP schools.Whoops didn't even know about it :stupid:

Hongwen kids will have to do HCL until P5 (or maybe P6 when their results will determine if they continue on the HCL or move to CL mode). The level of chinese will be higher than 'regular' school but it's not scary type. Most kids these days also talk in English amongst themselves - different from the 'older generation' who conversed in chinese more.
Also the name SAP to me just means that school will do more Chinese niche stuff like tea appreciation, wushu, calligraphy, learning chinese instruments.
Please note HWS stresses a lot on the development of a child overall (morals, ethics) and not just academic. I don't see kids stressed out over homework/exams. If you will worry if the teachers are not pushing them academically, then you may want to consider. (this my own feeling) -

actually I am more than happy that the school does not pushes the kids too hard academically. I push my kids more at home kekekeke.

I like that they are into moral n ethics teaching. I like that the principal is at the foyer in the mornings twice a week and smiles at the kids and bows back to the kids. Teachers and principals are the leaders in the school. they cast a shadow to the kids. Kids will follow when they see principal doing
