All About Home Addresses

Hi Chief,
My family has been living overseas for last 4 years, our ICs reflect overseas address. How can I register my daughter in school of choice during P1 registration in phrase2C?
Thanks. -

you should be able to use either the rental agreement or purchase agreement of the property that your family will be shifting in when your DD starts P1 to register. -

me new to the forum and P1 reg procedure.pinkapple:
*gasp* I thot my hubby and I can each use one address and register at two diff school. *sad*
I believe this point has been mentioned several times in this forum. There is NO WAY you can register your child with two different schools AT THE SAME TIME even if the addresses shown in your and your spouse's NRIC are different. The system accepts only ONE application at any point in time during the registration exercise.
had since read up and know that cannot do it. -
Thank you QMS & Tankeefor pointing me to the MOE website, but it does not provide me with the answer so I called and spoke with an officer and got exactly what Tankee said.....
Thanks again!! -

and don’t forget that schools do spot check on pupil’s home address after "successfully" registered and enrolled in the school
people who are too creative and overly resourceful in using addresses have been caught out before and the students got transferred out
the child is the one who suffers the humiliation and shame -
se-ri-ous?! so free ah?
no wonder teachers have high turnover rate. -

It's not a matter whether the teachers or staff of the schools are free. In a way, it's just being fair. Imagine, if you stayed within 1 km from the school, or, worse, next to the school, and were being balloted out to someone who \"claimed\" to stay within 1 km, too. How would you feel?se-ri-ous?! so free ah?
