2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

May I check, what is the difference between the old and new Maths syllabus? Any changes (addition/deletion) in topics? I was reading the below document and am still :scratchhead: :?alng:
The strategy is to buy every year from P1 and by the time the child reaches P6, parents would have collected 9 year series of PSLE papers. Not far from our usual 10 year series. Bravo! A great way to teach our students to rely on 10 year series!
Not relevant to 2007 children. Why? Because the children born in 2007 will take New Syllabus PSLE paper for Math in 2019. Can buy 2018 PSLE Math past year paper to refer only as that will be the first revised syllabus virgin Math paper. Haha. As for Science, can buy 2017 and 2018 these 2 past year Science papers to refer to based on new Science syllabus. For English, can buy 2015, 2016 and 2017 past PSLE papers in the year 2018 when the golden piggies are in P5.
Lots of syllabus changes so no point for golden piggies mummies to buy the 3 years series so early.

Can someone enlighten me? -
Honeymoon was over, school works and activities (CCAs - Clubs) are getting more and more, needs to spend about 1 to 2 hrs to finish it at home daily, her right hand finger has started growing a callus 手指生茧 and getting thicker and thicker.
Can’t imagine 2019 PSLE? But tough tasks for parents!

Hi, your dd school is giving too much homework. There is a recommended homework guideline recommended for primary school to follow. P2 should not have to do more than an hour homework daily. The P2s should have time for family bonding, leisure activities and rest.Honeymoon was over, school works and activities (CCA - Club) are getting more and more, needs to spend about 1 to 2 hrs to finish it at home daily, her right hand finger has started growing a callus 手指生茧 and getting thicker and thicker.

homework daily? my p3 boy homework load is still v light. Most days no hw. If there is, mostly require no longer than 1 hr to complete. Looks like your dd's school is v academic focused.Honeymoon was over, school works and activities (CCAs - Clubs) are getting more and more, needs to spend about 1 to 2 hrs to finish it at home daily, her right hand finger has started growing a callus 手指生茧 and getting thicker and thicker.

I think your school takes into consideration the number of enrichment and tuition their kids are having per week when dispensing homework!

Some kids can do homework very quickly while others can take a longer time bcoz they're perfectionist. So time spent is not necessarily an accurate indicator.

I think accuracy within the time frame is more important than speed.

Her school gives them 20 pages (A4 size paper) of schoolwork – math yesterday (13/02/15), 2 questions on each page, total 40 questions, mainly problems sum (34) and a few Patterns (6).
Is it considered more or less? :? -

That is considered excessive.
