wow, 120hrs, flip like the property market yah.....

duno whether it is the top school that are really top or the parents that make the school top.... šŸ˜›
it is the combination of capable school admin, good and dedicated teachers, parents' support, and the motivated kids.

good teachers, lousy admin, bo chap parents, smart kid = not easy

good admin, lousy teachers = no hope

good teachers, lousy admin = teachers will leave

every thing good + bo chap kids = no hope

I think 120 hours of PV also people would do lah if the desire school is like super super hot cake.

some schools may require the PV hours spread over two years instead of one year .... so 80 hours or 120 hours (have not heard of, i suaku) over two years also no problem

can i say a school requiring 60 or more PV will always be a good school? :? as PV hours serves a good demand indicator....

This question is very subjective. Maybe you can post the school name here and I'm sure you will get some feedback.

                  it all depends on location

take for example, South View in Choa Chu Kang, the demand is white hot, versus TNS in Marine Parade, may be red hot only.....

is it becoz it is more densely populated in CCK and there are more good schools to choose in the East?

if I am not wrong, South View produced a PSLE top student in recent years, whereas TNS only has students doing well (but not top).

I did contribute over 60hrs PV to the school my ds is in. at that time, only a few school required 60 hrs when 40hrs was a norm....now i am becoming more and more regretful over the choice i made. however, the school is still very hot... think perhaps it is the location issue....

really suggest parents to compare more schools and make thoughtful decisions, thus make the 60/80 hrs more worth......not like me leh... :stupid:
