Congrats to all the 2014 Dunmanians.

DHS’s grades are improving each year, especially for Economics which someone previously (if I remember correctly) mentioned that DHS is not good in Economics.

So those who are keen to come to DHS, pls don’t believe in hearsay but statistics.

          :congrats:

The school is proud of the 2014 Year 6 cohort for their hard work and achievements. They have achieved the ever best results since DHS offered IP in 2005:

46.1% of the cohort achieved at least 3 H2 Distinctions.

48.8% of the cohort achieved at least 4 Distinctions.

111 Dunmanians achieved at least 6 Distinctions.

42 Dunmanians achieved at least 7 Distinctions.

9 Dunmanians achieved at least 8 Distinctions.

84.6% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinction or Merit.

39.7% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinctions.
Well done! Two consecutive years of good results...based on percentage of 3 H2 distinctions this should put DHS is the top 4 schools this year.

Hope this dispel all doubts about DHS's competency in its senior high section

Top 4? May I know which are the top 3?
As announced in Straits Times today, 50% of the cohort in VJC achieved at least 3H2 Distinctions.

              Top 2 are RI, HCI

              #3 #4 : either VJC / DHS

              just a thought :
wondering how far off is HCI from VJC / DHS ?

Straits Times states \"about one in two\" of VJC achieved at least 3H2 distinction.\". It did not state 50%. Anything from 45% to 55% also can be considered \"About\" one in two. 😂

This is unofficial but what I have seen for the past 2 years (only start noticing becos dd is going to take her A levels soon) -

                    2013
                    1. RI
                    2. HCI
                    3. VJC
                    4. NJC
                    5. DHS

                    2014
                    1. RI
                    2. HCI
                    3. VJC
                    4. DHS
                    5. NJC

I may be wrong but these are the current top schools.

IIRC, during last week’s Year 2 Parent’s briefing, Dr Foo mentioned that DHS has always been within the top 5 in terms of ‘A’ level results…

Hello, enquiring if the school side gate (near the school café) will be opened by 7am for students to enter when they walk from mountbatten Mrt? 🙂
