Hi all,
Is there any recommedation for good student care service near the school or Toa payoh area?
Thanks a lot. -
I think opposite peichun there’s 1. Its link with skylace chinese tuition center. So the kids can attend the CL tuition there too. but my kids do not attend student care, so I’m not sure of the center name

Any one staying in punggol or sengkang area and their kids attending Peichun Public school?
I am looking at last year 2014 PSLE achievement between Peichun and Mee Toh and they are quite competitive rather.
Can anyone give me some golden advice for their children studying in Peichun if the teachers there are very proactive?
My girl will be going to Primary 1 in another 2 year and her daddy is ex school boy.
If Mee Toh (Punggol), she will still be able to get in because my eldest son graduated from there.
I am quite dilemma because ever since MT change principal, everything dropped and the teachers standard and help also dropped. -
strong mummy,
I think you should go for convenience instead of "good result sch". A lot of times I find that kids result had a lot to do to coaching at hm, or tuition they had, rather than sch teaching…
PCPS is very relax for P1-P3, do very minimal stuff, in fact I think this is the only sch that do not hv chinese compo P1 & P2. Even in P3, all other sch are already doing 4 pic compo, PCPS just started 1 pic compo. It doesnt mean its not good, it give more time for children to pick up…especially like mine no Chinese tuition.
And u must bear in mind there’s a lot of staying back from P3 onwards. it is abt 3days per week min, if niche/sch team CCA maybe 4 days. So on those days you need to arrange transport.
Its not worth paying so much on sch bus and they get very tired if go sch early / come back late too.
I hv a P1 this yr, and we r staying at balestier area, she go to sch at 11.30am and back home 7.30pm, bus fee $150. N its raising every yr… -
Hi! P3 compulsory remedial will kick start in term 2. I understand it is banded and students are allocated to different classes, meaning the students will not be in the same class as their present classmates. It seems like only a couple of them are in the same remedial class. May I understand what is the main difference among class EL1, EL2, EL3 … to EL10? How big is the class size? 40 students? Are the teaching materials different for each class?

hi preciouslee,
I think EL1 is the first class.
Kids will come from different class. and what my ds did was eat lunch faster, so they can go back to class faster and get to sit in front…cos he is small.
They will have frens from P1,2 old class, and P3 class.
But not sure of teaching material though.
Only know that for math some kids do Math Olympiad and those not in MO class doing no. bonds revision.
