What’s the cut off point last year (2014), for affliated St Margaret primary students ?anyone can advice what is the psle score for existing P6 students to go to smss?
i understand for non-affiliation is around 240
for affliated pupils (\"O\" level Express ) : 200
(confirmed by St Margaret Secondary school)
for Outsiders (\"O\" level Express ) : 242
discount of T-score =
242 - 200 = 42 points, difference (huge) ! -
Hi there, just saw your post.. there are swimmers at SMPS.. but it is not an official school CCA unfortunately. If your daughter swims, check out - https://borntoswim99.wordpress.com/. They are recruiting for the 2015 inter school swim meet in april.

There is a swimming board in the school near the bookshop. Swimming is not an official CCA. however about 20 girls do swimming training under various clubs. They also swim for SMPS in the inter-school meet in april. In 2014, the SMPS Division D won the Bronze trophy - more info at https://borntoswim99.wordpress.com/

Hi, I recalled the optional CCA for P1 are Tennis, Bowling and Swimming. Teacher will be handing out the forms to all kids and they can decide whether they are keen to participate. Something to note that parents will need to make separate transport arrangement to pick up their kids from CCA as those are held outside of school.bbhippo:

Thank you, Samsara....i agree with you, i had a good impression on current principal. First day of school, she was standing near the entrance and greetings to all students. My dd takes school bus back home. But there was one day, i picked her up. And again, i saw the principal was standing near the entrance. I do hope she will continue guide our girls with her wisdom and love.

Hi Coco79,
My DD is in P4 this year, she's enjoying school pretty much, and I'm glad she's happy there too. As for teacher turnover, I dont see much of a change since her first year. In fact, during her first 2 years, she had the same teachers. And P3 n P4, same English, Chinese n Science teacher except for Math. As for Christian values, I was told by my DD that during assembly, the principal will read out verses time to time. Not everyday but she's doing it. She also encourages the girls to pray for P6 and which group thats going for competition. She's quite attentive to the girls too. I pick my girl up twice a week. And most of the time, I can see her walking around watching the girls leaving. Personally, I like this principal.
Her current teachers r really v attentive to the girls. I met them during the PTC and Lots of feedback from the teachers. Which shows that she cares alot and interact a lot with them. Comparing to her previous P1 & 2 teacher. I didnt like her as she's the sort to distribute the report book and like, 'Ya, your DD is doing fine. Thank you!'
I guess it really depends on the teachers character too. I hope your DD is enjoying school in SMPS. Btw, my DD's buddy is in 1 charity too. ; )
Thanks Samsara and mummy 88! So happy to hear this! Thanks again! -

Hi all
I just got a call from st Margaret n they have a vacancy for my girl in P4. Just want to find out more… My girl is still thinking… I m also worried if she’s able to fit in… Can I find out how’s the homework like for P4. Is the load heavy? For CCA is it during school hours or they have to stay back after school? Thanks very much -
p4 homework varies depending on teachers. cca is after school. The school has official cca… Some students do external cca like swimming…but these are not formally recognize by the school, unfortunately
