btw, refrain from using your shoulder to block the train door… very dangerous…

ur shoulder might really get crushed… the doors there are not like those here in SG…

Day 1-4 seems ok. Nothing much to comment.

Day 5: Cup noodle museum: Try to avoid going on a Friday. A lot of people. Tuesday is closed.

          Cup Noodle Museum->Chinatown->Kirin Factory->Ramen Museum
(a bit ambitious as you have 2 kids along)
Suggest you to cover only 3 places instead of 2.

For Chinatown, this restaurant i always go. The boss is a Shanghainese lady. Service is so-so, but food is not bad and value for money.

Ramen Museum has stalls for Ramen. You can google and see which stalls are good.

Hmm, i believe you are going to Odaiba. You might wish to add the big Gundam robot and the statue of liberty if your time allows.

Am not a big fan of these \"theme parks\". If you do a search of these theme parks, you will get some reviews about the places.

Limited to 3 places as usual. 😃

If you can, make a trip down to JR Tokyo station, they have lots of souvenir shops inside the station itself. Don't buy Tokyo banana as it's sold in the airport.

Yokumoku is a good brand to buy. Some are sold in airport.

Akihabara is a good place to buy electronics. Those Japan brands like Sony, etc are cheaper over there...

Remember to get your data SIM card or Mifi before going.

I guess you don't really have much of a choice to change to other days.

                    thanks dimitri_can!

Can I also check it is true that a lot of places might be closed during Dec period? That is what I heard but no choice to choose Dec period as helper wanted to go back during in Dec for her home leave and SQ has good promotion.

not really true. depends on which part of Japan and the period you are going (e.g early Dec, mid Dec or late Dec)

Dec is peak season for Japan... if you need any additional help with the planning after you have come up with the rough itinerary, feel free to drop me an pm

Hi, I intend to plan a 12-14 days Hokkaido (Sapporro-Otaru-Lake Toya-Niseko with 4 days 3 nites skiiing) / Tokyo (Disneyland for kids) / Osaka & Kyoto (1st time so no idea yet) trip in Dec, what will be the easier route to move around and any suggestion on a itinerary that can reference? Nothing was booked yet (Air ticket / accomodation), still searching information to determine best deal tickets and accomodation considering travel with 2 kids age 11 and 8.

                        Thanks
