2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take
-
Hi Minnie,
My son is in Pei Hwa. It’s within 1 km but it’s too stressful being in a SAP school. Although it’s convenient for us, but we want to put her in my former school bcos there is affiliation to sec school. Given the higher cut-off point for schools with no affiliation to sec school, I want to have 1 less worry for my daughter. -

I see. Having affiliation is definitely a plus point. Much less pressure in PSLE so more time to enjoy her childhoodHi Minnie,

Hi Minnie,
Having affiliation reduces stress at P6...kids from schools with no affiliation have to compete to get into schools like SJI or ACS
esp those who born in Dragon year like my son.
I also found out CHIJ TP will be going morning session from P1 onwards starting from next year. That is another reason why I wish to put her there. -
can I check whether there is any change of rules in this year’s P1 registration game?
thanks. -

As far as I am aware of, the only change is that Singaporeans will get two balloting slips while PRs will get one if the school needs to go through balloting. -

\"registration game\" ? :?
Because P1 registration is a \"game\" in itself? See who outwits the rest, who has better luck, etc.? -

if u are citizen, 2 chances at balloting (2 slips of your child's name) compared to PR only 1 chance -

Still have to depend on luck. If one is lucky 1 slip can get, if not lucky 2 slips also no point.
