Not sure if you still need recommendation for specialist in Colorectal.

Try Doctor Goh Hak Su at Gleneagles. He helped me removed my piles 10 over years back and he also did my recent scope test as I thought I was having a relapse. He’s nice.

Any mum did a colonoscopy? Is this part of the general health screening to have when we grow old?

Yes, good to include it as colon cancer is the number 1 killer in Singapore nowadays due to our modern diet.

My dad, mum and DH go for colonoscopy every 2-3yrs. DH started at the age of 35 because of his family history.

                  Hi,

Dr Melvin Look is an excellent specialist in stomach-related conditions or diseases.

A humble and patient doctor who saved my father's life. He certainly doesn't need any recommendations but I put his name here in the hope that people would go to the right doctor. If you meet an incompetent one, you could lose your life or in more fortunate cases, run up a hospital bill that could buy you a 4 - room flat.

You may try Dr. Denis Nyam Ngian Kwong from Nyam Colon Rectal & General Surgery #17-17 Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, 3 Mount Elizabeth S(228510)

Dr Nyam practiced at the Singapore General Hospital as a consultant surgeon and was the director of laboratory surgery. His interest included the development of a new or artificial anus, animal models in colorectal cancer, developing call immortal cell lines in colorectal cancer and gene therapy. He was also the director of the basic surgical and advanced surgical courses for surgical residents in the hospital.

My family were under his care for more than 15 years…
