My kids are currently in adelfibel student care but I am thinking of switching them to another student care. May I know what you think of Groworld and Rainforest? There is also a new student called At the Classroom.

Currently in a bit of dilemma as my kids are do not wish to move as their friends are all there but some recent events in the school makes me extremely concerned about their welfare. No sure what to do and I am losing sleep over this matter. Pls help me.

Can someone enlighten on Beacon’s homework policy? I was told by a friend every school has one. And i was also told by one of Beacon’s staff that p1s will not be given much homework. However since sch started, my child has been bringing home, sometimes, more than 5 pages worth of homework every other day. Ytd she said she had to complete 7 pages of math hw by tomorrow. I find this abit too much. some of the pages arent even full of pictures.


Also the form teacher is always absent. Since school started,
she’s been absent 7-8 times. As this is the first time for me as a p1 parent, i’d like advice on what is generally accepted and what isnt. Share your thoughts pls?

hi, my boy bring back quite an amt of homework at times too. But I understand that sometimes those are the work he suppose to complete in school but he sorta did halfway so bring back home. So if all add tgt, can be quite a lot. But on days when they has their swimming or spelling the next day, the amt of homework is still reasonable. I’m also a first time p1 parent, also trying my best here haha

Does he bring back home 7 pages of worksheets? On top of online activities on studyladder /razkids? And spelling too. Anyway we have a whatsapp grp with the teacher and apparently im not alone in this. Other parents have voiced their concerns with the teacher. Will see what teacher says! thanks for replying!

wow! whatsapp group with the teacher? that's really nice of the teacher. may i know which class is your kid in?


my boy don't bring back 7 pages of worksheet. but it can be completing the whole unit in the workbook at times. Raz-kid wise, the teacher didn't set a deadline for them.

Hi folks I am contemplating whether to put beacon or zhenghua primary school as as back up choice as I need to go for balloting at Bukit panjang. Any comments on these 2 schools?

I just received a letter from MOE yesterday that my son is offered a place for P1 at beacon primary school. I am happy to find this forum of parent’s networking from beacon. So hope that we can get in touch. I believe your input On your experience with beacon will help me a lot to adapt with the p1 in Singapore since this is the only son i have and so excited to see him entering P1 at local school.

I am living at bukit batok and wondering whether any parent come from bukit batok as well?

I read this school is a bit new, just recently officially open in 2010.

However i am interesting with CCA available such as robotics, wushu etc.
