Dear parents here, anyone knows the information of school bus from east to RI? We now living in Pasir Ris and I am looking for school bus for DS. He now takes MRT and need a little over 1 hour. Thinking if taking school bus can shorten the time.

      Thanks a lot.

Hi, the DSA process is underway and schools are in the midst of open houses. Would appreciate if parents of existing kids in RI can share their views on the following. Please pm me if more appropriate.

        1. How many days do the kids stay back in school, whether for projects or CCAs? What is the latest time that they reach home?

        2. Are there many individual and group projects? An acquaintance once told me that there are many projects including music project (her DS not in music elective) :yikes:

        3. What would you say is the best development that you have seen your DS after going to RI? Any drawbacks?

        4. Heard so many stressful and competitive stories. Is it really that stressful and competitive?

        5. What would be an area that you think the school could have done better?

        6. Heard of high turnover rates in teachers. Is this so?

Sorry that many of the questions are based on \"heard from who and who\" but that is the only basis I have.

Thank you in advance for any feedback/tips/advice.

Hello all again! Just received message on the nearing PTMs.

Are these sessions useful and fruitful towards improvements, or are they really general?

I am wondering whether how well the subject teachers know the individual students, especially the Year 1s who are only in school for 4 months.
          :scratchhead:

Any comments? Or things to take note?
Hey.. Sorry for the late response. Did you manage to book any slots to meet any teachers this Friday ? Heard most of the popular slots were snapped up, once they were open for booking.

Won't be meeting any teachers, as I've communicated with them via email. All says DS is doing fine! This form of communication seems more effective than meeting the teachers (max 3) for 10 minutes each, during PTM.

Will be attending the Year-4 Talk on 'A Level Curriculum' at 4pm. Hope to gather more info on Project Work.. 😓

Year-2 Talk is scheduled at 6.30pm. Noticed there're no talks for Year-1 & Year-3 this time.

              Hello again!

I wish to find out what are the books the boys are reading for English/Literature in Year 2 - Year 4. Any Shakespeare’s?

                Hi.

DS is in Year 2 so I only know what books he is using/will be using. I don't know about Year 3 and 4. Maybe parents of Year 3 and 4 can help?

Year 2 semester 2: Julius Caesar
