I think no need to do a real experiment. This is a real incident that happened to friend a few months ago.

Friend bought a burger frm Macs (not sure what burger) and some fries. Was meant as supper later. Accidentally left the burger and fries in the car boot after they went shopping (don't ask me how it happened).

Was quite late when they reached home. Took out the groceries from the car boot, but forgot all about the burger and the fries.

Three days later, opened the boot and found the burger and fries looking and smelling perfectly fine, like as if he had just walked out of Macs! Said he would have eaten them if he had not known that they had been there for three days!

      Draw your own conclusion! :!:

anybody interested to conduct the experiment at home ? may be not the entire happy meal just a few fries or bun ?? may be tempted to try (ie. keep a few fries and leave them in the kitchen) when i next eat at any fast food restaurant. well, wonder if the result will be scolding from DH if it actually attracted pests into our house. Btw, seems like no pests wanted to eat uncooked oats too 'cos i spilled some on a corner of the kitchen top last week and it's still there.

perhaps u shd consider a experiment of those bread in a loaf such as gardenia, sunshine and NTUC. I noticed NTUC bread tends to last longer before turning bad.
