Yup, the one in ION only sells octopus, but they’re the closest one can get to those in Jap. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. However I think standard has dropped…when they first started, they flew the Jap chef (are they called chef?) skewering the balls and it really was done to perfection. Nowadays not so consistent…

No more Jap chef, they’ve handed the "sticks" to local aunties. So far most of the time mended by aunties at the pan.

It is sold at $2.20 for 3 balls.

We love to eat them…especially when it is hot.
