Hi mashy,

I didn't know and my plans are to go in Dec. Wonder if it still be affected?
      mashy:
Would like to ask if anyone can help:

1)Does anyone has any recommendation of indoor waterpark near Tokyo/Osaka?
      2) From Tokyo, how do we go to Hakone?

      I3mum

Have u not read the news? Hakone is now closed due to the volcanic activities and the pp have been evacuated. U better have a back up plan.
Better don't bank on it. If it erupts, all the hotels will be gone. Better wait and see. U should have something else on standby and if one month or earlier before you depart, they have already reopened hakone, then u can go. If not, just go for your other plans. If owakudani should erupt, I think tokyo will also be affected. The smell will be pretty bad.

I have teenage kids n they have not seen snow so Korea will be a good place to go.

On the other hand, they have never been to Japan.

            So, cannot decide.

They can still see snow in Japan. Just not tokyo. Can try out nikko to see the snow monkeys or hokkaido will surely have snow. Unfortunately hakone is now closed. If it reopen by then, u can go. Or u can check if the area near kawaguchiko has snow then. Usually u will need to be up in the mountains.

I will personally avoid tohoku area with kids.

Lots of snow in central Japan in December last year! Even Nagoya was covered in thick snow when we were there!

U go and see lah. We have been quite accurate. Heehehe.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will find out more on the internet and maybe can there instead of Hakone when I visit Tokyo around 3Q this year. :rahrah:
