I emailed to the school administrator regarding Term 2 calendar…finally it’s uploaded…strange that oral exam dates are not indicated this time. Just emailed to ask for the dates.

From what I see, April will be a busy month since CL/EL paper I will be in early May, followed by actual papers in the following week. The papers will be back-to-back. Such a change as compared to prev years when there was a break in the middle.

Thanks Janet for checking up on the dates. My dd’s teacher gave out the bookshop offer slips to the class yesterday. Looks like the sale is on till end of the year.

          E3,

No worries…all parents would like to know the dates since oral exam has to be prepared for.

As for the clearance sale of uniforms, I think it’s better to buy it earlier since most of the kids wear the same size.

            Hi Mummies,

I’ve emailed son’s CL teacher but yet to get reply.
My son told me oral exam for both subjects should be 3rd week of April 19/4 - 23/4. Still waiting for teacher to confirm.

Hi Janet, thanks for the headsup on SA1 schedule.

BTW, my kids didn’t receive the slips w/rgds to the uniform sales, I need to get more PE attire and socks. Any idea when the vendor will be in school? Tks!

                    Hi Periwinklejoy,

Son's teacher replied me...Oral exam will be held during the 6th week. April seems to be a busy month with SA1 preparations and NAPFA test. Come May, there is not much time for revision 😢

Hi Blurqueen, thanks for the uniform sales dates info.

Janet, great! I was worried the oral will be on week 5 as my gal’s ballet exam is held during that week.

Parents of P3, I would like to check whether your child’s teacher conducted the investigation activity on page 43 of the Science textbook.

                        1. Add a packet of baker’s yeast and a teaspoon of sugar to a cup of warm water.
                        2. Place a few drops of the mixture into a Petri dish.
                        3. View the yeast mixture using a microscope.
                        4. Draw what you see in your Science journal.

My boy’s teacher did not do this activity. I thought this is an interesting activity and it would be such a waste if the teacher did not do so.

If there are other classes which skipped this, I intend to write an email to the teacher and the HOD to encourage carrying out this activity.
