Hi all, my son just went for assessment at thomson branch and the teacher said he is good to start off with liftoff workbook 2. However, the branch has no class doing book 2, as e batch of students has just upgraded to workbook 3, so I was advised to put him to workbook 1 firsr, which e teacher mentioned can be easy for him. And I took a look at workbook 1, indeed most of e contents he already knows. Not sure if I sld sign up at this juncture or wait for e sch to start book 2 first then join in? Somehow felt tt there is a limitation in this aspect due to the 'upgrading' as and when applicable. Which made me ponder did the school actually complete e whole workbook for a student before upgrading the student to another workbook? Any parents care to share and advise on this? Many thanks.

Anyway, kiasu parent like me called up another branch to enquire, they are willing to open up a class for my boy at workbook 2 even though there is no existing students now. I thought it's better at least it's like a 1-1 coaching but worried tt my boy will feel bored and dislike e class. Also this branch don't offer trial lesson compared to e thomson branch. Thought all branches sld be the same?
not all branches are the same. they are franchised i think.
If u can wait, I think it'll be better to do book 2, anyway the next term is gg to start soon in Jul?

my son was from lauchpad all the way till now...Preparation for Primary 1. During his liftoff stage, yes they must complete all the 3 workbooks before they can advance to the next stage.

i would suggest to wait for the school to start book 2 if the schedule fits you. else if the location of other branch and the timing is not an issue to you, and since they are willing to open up a class just to coach him on workbook 2, why not?? I would prefer one to one attention!

Hi, thinking of sending my daughter to tiong bahru branch. She will probably be doing foundation or launchpad program. There’s several teachers in the centre. Im unsure which teacher to choose. Any feedback on this center?
